Thank god Night Line did a report on unethical realtors who take a house off the market after (ex. 50 day)s on the market and put it back on seconds later to reset the days on market to 0. Realtors that do that should be ashamed of themselves. YThe realtor said something a realtor said to me here at Montebello when I bought a parking space from her "buyer beware" scum.

Please make sure you credit is in good condition before looking for a home. Lenders have become tougher in their assessment of credit worthiness. Either contact Experion, Trans Union and Equifax to get your scores or ask your lender what you can qualify for. The credit companies allow 1 free credit report each year. You can visit them on the web by searching Google.

Ok, after a few months of seasonal slow moving real estate things will
be picking up the next few months. 2 reasons: 1) interest rates have
dropped to low seen only a few years ago between 5% and 6%  (Only
people with the best credit scores will qualify for loans) Subprime
loans have been deemed obsolete. 2) Real Estate is seasonal as the
weather gets warmer people will be looking to move. I have sold all of
my listings and I am only accepting listings that are priced to sell
and primarily I am working with qualified buyers. Some sellers still
think the market is the same as years ago, it is a buyers market.
There a couple of things sellers should think about when selling. Is
your property priced right? and If your agent has other listings in
your area how will they price and market yours to compete? You are
competing against other properties and they are controlled by the same
person how will yours stand out? Good luck my buyers are being
selective.

With the government implementing a stimulus package and the fed lowering interest rates (hopefully 1/2 point Jan 31st.) maybe the hosuin market will pick up. If the housing market recovers maybe the rest of the economy will rebound. In my opinion its wishful thinking. Consumer confidnce is low the psychology of the consumer is telling them not to spend. If I were a buyer I would be seriously looking to buy this year locking in low interest rates (for those with good credit).
